The Nugent Appraisal family firm, in business since 1976, is a Palm Beach antique appraisal expert. Our firm, founded by Ray Nugent Jr, a senior accredited appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers, has been providing trusted service to Professionals and their referred clients throughout Palm Beach for decades. We now have three generations of Nugents, expanding our area of expertise and service, certifying the value of Fine Art, Jewelry, Collectibles, and General Residential Contents, from north of Orlando down to the keys, on both coasts.
As accredited antique appraisers we adhere to a strict code of professional ethics. Most importantly, we have no personal interest in your antiques. We do not buy or resale items we appraise. Because of our independence our reports are used by Insurers, Government Agencies, and the Courts. Our reports are used for the following purposes:
The Nugent Appraisal firm and our family of appraisers are insured and bonded for general liability and professional liability. On your schedule, we visit where your antiques are located in order to perform a hands-on examination. We gather the images and descriptions necessary in order to make a positive identification. If you have documents of origination (purchase receipts, restoration receipts, previous appraisal, etc.) this is information that may assist us with identification and benefit you with a more accurate appraisal.
We certify the value of thousands of antiques every month as an outsourced appraisal service for national insurers and asset management companies. This volume of service creates a deep knowledge base of most of the more common antiques found in the secondary antique market. The Nugent Appraisal team has extensive experience in understanding, identifying, and certifying the value of a broad range of antique items including:
Furniture – Rugs – Decorative Art – Collectibles – Crystal – Silverware – Fine China – Coins
We are typically available to perform the onsite antique appraisal examination within several days of your contact. Just days later the certified report is delivered by secure email attachment and will describe each piece, reproduce color item images, present the value, and additional information.
