APPRAISER COMMENTS:

There are several versions of Muhammad Ali shadow boxes. Some have
boxing gloves, this has a hand cast. All have autographed photos. The
most interesting item here is the hand cast. It was part of a project
unveiled in New York City called The Boxing Series, that featured the
handprints of several boxing legends: Ali, Larry Holmes, Roberto Duran,
and Gerry Cooney. In a very unusual marketing move, the four teamed up
to give fans something special for the Christmas holiday, 1999. It is
not, however, the most valuable item here. The autographed Ali photo is.
The autographed photo alone is worth about $1,400.00. We believe the
picture of Ali and Elvis does not bear original signatures, but is a
print. If this is not the case, it would certainly affect the value
given.
