A Florida stamp collection appraisal firm, in business since 1976, Nugent Appraisal is headed by Ray Nugent Jr., a senior accredited appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers. The family-run company now includes three generations of Nugents, certifying the value of all categories of personal property including Fine Art, Jewelry, Decorative Art, Collectibles, and General Residential and Commercial Contents. The service area for onsite appraisal service stretches from north of Orlando, on both coasts, south to the Keys.
Our reports are used for the following purposes:
Over our almost four decades of stamp appraising service we have accumulated a deep knowledge of stamp identification and valuation. The tools of our trade have changed for the better over the years. We now perform our hands-on appraisals, examining your stamps in the privacy and security of your residence, with laptop computers that have hundreds of thousands of stamp images and the latest market values of individual stamps, both domestic and foreign. While we are identifying and certifying the value of a collection we are also organizing it into a digital pictorial and detailed universal Scott number profile that can be presented to the world via the Internet if you have an interest in selling. The secure digital format also protects your collection against financial loss if your interest is insurance scheduling.
The Nugent Appraisal firm and all individual appraisers are insured and bonded with general liability and professional liability coverage. We come to your residence, business, or banking facility to examine your stamp collection. It is not necessary for your stamps to leave your site. Our onsite service area is from north of Orlando, on both coasts, south to the Keys.
The Nugent Appraisal team of experienced stamp appraisal experts has certified the value of thousands of foreign and domestic stamps over the last year. We are currently appraising two collections containing over 40 large albums of 1,000+ stamps per album. We are not buyers or dealers of the stamps we appraise. However, after the appraisal is completed and all stamps are documented and valued, some clients engage with us to broker their collection – aligning the interest to sell a collection for the highest possible price. Whether insurance, estate settlement, or resale, we have the resources, experience, and knowledge to meet your stamp appraisal need.
